MyWish Homecare Solutions provides home care personalized to the client’s needs. We are able to assist with daily activities such as meal prep, dressing, mobility, bathing, etc. We are also equipped to support clients with more chronic/complex conditions such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and post-surgery recovery. We offer our services on a 24/7 basis and are even able to assist with overnight and bedside care.  We understand the unique challenges of Parkinson’s and are committed to providing flexible, personalized care plans that adapt as needs change. Our caregivers are trained to provide thoughtful, patient, and consistent support at every stage of the condition. Our goal is to better the quality of life of our clients and provide compassionate care to support their daily living while maintaining their independence.

Area of Expertise

We have supported numerous clients living with Parkinson’s disease at various stages, ranging from newly diagnosed individuals who need light assistance, to advanced-stage patients requiring full personal care, transfers, fall prevention, and adaptive strategies for daily living.

Our care team is trained to, promote safe mobility and fall prevention in the home, support daily medication adherence and Parkinson’s-specific regimens, offer gentle exercise and cognitive stimulation activities aligned with each client’s stage and ability, and provide compassionate emotional and psychosocial support for both clients and caregivers.

All frontline staff, including PSWs, RPNs, and RN case managers, are required to complete specialized training in:

  • Parkinson’s Disease: Care & Management (through Parkinson Canada’s Parkinson’s 101 modules or equivalent)
  • Dementia, Alzheimer’s & Neurological Disorders
  • Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC)
  • Falls Prevention & Safe Mobility
  • Medication Administration & Observation
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Client-Centered Communication & Empathy-Based Care

We also maintain training records and certifications through our internal training tracker system and ensure compliance with both Ontario Health and Ministry of Health guidelines.
