The SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program by Parkinson Voice Project is a specialized speech therapy approach for people with Parkinson’s disease. It helps individuals speak more clearly and confidently by strengthening the muscles used for speech and swallowing and by encouraging purposeful, intentional speech. The program focuses on improving voice volume, clarity, and overall communication for daily life, with ongoing practice to help maintain progress over time. Afterwards, participants join a Speak Out! Therapy Group to participate in weekly. Groups are free or donation-based and are open to anyone who has completed the Speak Out! Program with a speech therapist.

Area of expertise

I am a speech-language pathology clinician with foundational training in working with individuals with Parkinson’s disease through graduate-level coursework, completion of the SPEAK OUT!® training course, and clinical placement experience. While my direct clinical experience with Parkinson’s disease is developing, I am committed to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional learning, and providing individualized, supportive therapy focused on functional communication goals. I aim to include family support in the care of all my clients, to ensure a comprehensive therapy journey.
